Thirty-five students at Lassiter High School in Cobb County will enter the college application process with a unique item to put atop their resumes: they are published authors. On Friday night the students celebrated the release of their book, "I Will Make A Difference," which takes a look at their collective plans to make a positive impact on the world as they become adults.
The book went on sale on Amazon.com Friday morning.
"It's really cool," said sophomore Sarah Lezaj. "It's different because nobody else really has that, at this age."
"It's an incredible experience to see your book on the Internet," said junior Robert Longyear.
The book features a chapter from each of the 35 student authors, and is geared toward readers of the same age. Proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit the non-profit foundation Keep Georgia Safe.
